Scheduling & Service
What are your business hours?
Monday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Same hours every day, weekends included.
Do you offer same-day service?
Yes. Same-day appointments are often available across our service area, especially for broken springs, cables and doors stuck open.
Which areas do you serve?
Nashville and 31 surrounding cities and neighborhoods, including Donelson, Antioch, Hermitage, Mount Juliet, Hendersonville, Brentwood, Franklin, Murfreesboro and Smyrna. See our service areas page.
Can you give me an arrival window?
Yes. When you call, we'll give you a realistic arrival window and call ahead when your technician is on the way.
Do I need to be home for the appointment?
For most repairs, yes — or have someone over 18 there — so we can review the quote with you before starting.
Pricing & Estimates
How much does garage door repair cost?
Every door and problem is different, so we don't guess over the phone. We inspect the door, explain what's wrong, and give you a written quote before any work begins.
Are estimates free?
Estimates for new doors and openers are free. For repairs, we'll explain any service-call details on the phone before we come out, so there are no surprises.
Will the price change after you start?
No. The written quote you approve is what you pay. If we find something else, we'll show you and ask before doing any extra work.
What payment methods do you accept?
Ask when you call — we'll confirm the payment options available for your job.
Springs & Cables
How do I know if my spring is broken?
Common signs: a loud bang from the garage, a visible gap in the spring above the door, the opener straining while the door barely moves, or a door that feels very heavy.
How long do garage door springs last?
Standard springs are commonly rated around 10,000 cycles — roughly 7 to 10 years for an average family. High-cycle springs last much longer.
Why did my spring break in the winter?
Cold makes steel more brittle and puts extra stress on a spring that's already near the end of its life. The first hard freezes are our busiest spring-replacement days.
Can I replace a garage door spring myself?
Please don't. Torsion springs store enough energy to cause serious injuries. Spring replacement should always be done by a trained technician with the right tools.
What happens when a garage door cable breaks?
The door loses support on that side and can hang crooked, jam or fall. Stop using the opener and call us. Cables should be replaced in pairs.
Openers
Why won't my garage door opener work?
Check that it's plugged in and the wall-button lock isn't on. If the motor runs but the door doesn't move, it could be a stripped gear or a broken spring. If the lights blink, it's usually the safety sensors.
Why does my door reverse when closing?
The photo-eye safety sensors near the floor are blocked, dirty or misaligned — or the opener's force settings need adjusting.
What's the quietest type of opener?
Belt-drive and wall-mount (jackshaft) openers are the quietest choices, ideal when there's a bedroom above the garage.
Can you program my remotes and car?
Yes. We program remotes, keypads and most built-in car systems as part of every opener installation.
New Doors & Panels
How long does a new garage door installation take?
Most residential doors are installed in one day, including haul-away of the old door.
Can you replace just one damaged panel?
Often, yes — if a matching section is still made for your door. Otherwise, we'll quote a new door.
Are insulated doors worth it?
For attached garages, workshops, or rooms above the garage, insulated doors are quieter, stronger and help with Tennessee heat and cold.
Do you help with HOA requirements?
Yes. Share your HOA's guidelines and we'll help you pick a style and color that fits.
Safety & Maintenance
How do I test my door's safety reverse?
Place a roll of paper towels on the floor under the door and close it. The door should reverse when it touches the roll. If not, stop using the opener and call us.
How often should I service my garage door?
Once a year for most homes, or every six months for heavily used doors.
What should I do if my door is off track?
Stop using it, unplug the opener, keep everyone clear, and call us. Don't try to force it back into the track.
Is it safe to pull the red emergency release?
Only when the door is fully closed, or when you're sure the springs are intact. With a broken spring and the door open, pulling the release can make the door slam down.
